| IMPLANTS
Implants are state of the art replacements for missing single or multiple teeth. They can also provide excellent retention for partial or complete dentures.
A dental implant is a small screw made of titanium that is well tolerated by the body and takes over the function of the tooth root. The dental implant is inserted directly into the bone of the jaw which subsequently grows onto the surface to anchor it firmly. The healing period takes 6-12 weeks depending on the initial situation. After this period, the tooth replacement in the form of crown, bridge or denture is secured to the implant. |
